Michael Krigsman, President and CEO

Michael Krigsman is CEO of Asuret. Michael led the research effort underlying Asuret's model of collective intelligence and its practical application in consulting environments.

Michael co-founded Cambridge Publications in 1989. Cambridge Publications specializes in developing tools and processes for software implementations and related business practice automation projects. Among Cambridge Publications' client projects is the AcceleratedSAP suite of implementation tools, developed for SAP to improve implementation success for its large-scale projects. Other business process and implementation methodology clients have included CCA Global Partners, Compaq, Halliburton, IBM/Lotus, Intel, SAP, Staples, and Symantec. Cambridge Publications has worked with more than 100 companies as developer of documentation and related product components. In his role as CEO, Michael was involved with hundreds of software development projects, for companies ranging from small startups to Fortune 500 organizations.

Michael graduated with an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.A. from Bard College. He is currently Treasurer and member of the Executive Committee of the America's Cup Hall of Fame and the Herreshoff Marine Museum in Bristol, RI. Previously, he served on the Executive Committee of the American Electronics Association in New England.

Nicholas Bessmer, Principal Consultant

Nicholas Bessmer has more than 20 years experience as a senior IT executive, project manager, business systems analyst, software and systems architect, and developer. He has worked for a broad range of companies that include State Street Bank, CVS, Putnam Investments, Wellington Management, the Boston Stock Exchange, and NewsEdge, as well as other clients in e-commerce and health care.

Edward R. Horniak, PMP, Principal Consultant

Ed Horniak is a senior-level project management expert who has implemented IT and HR solutions for Fortune 500 clients in banking, insurance, brokerage, broadcasting, and manufacturing, both domestically and abroad. He delivered some of the earliest Western banking systems into post-Soviet Eastern Europe. Ed is also president of the Mass Bay chapter of the Project Management Institute.

Arnold Howitt, Principal Consultant

Management specialist Arnold Howitt is a faculty member at Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and executive director of its Taubman Center for State and Local Government. Dr. Howitt has consulted extensively with public and private sector organizations and, among other courses, teaches Managing Organizational Change.

Barbara Kivowitz, Principal Consultant

A veteran organizational development specialist and recognized knowledge management expert, Barbara Kivowitz was a senior executive at Lotus Institute. Her clients have included IBM, Novartis, Genzyme, General Motors, and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Lisbeth Shaw, Principal Consultant

As co-founder of Asuret, Lisbeth Shaw brings an experienced systems engineering perspective to project and program management. She proposed the core concepts behind Asuret's collective intelligence methodology. As co-founder of Cambridge Publications, Lisbeth established an organization that defined projects based on clients' needs, built project teams, and managed large, complex projects on a fixed-price basis and within the confines of tight schedules. Previously, she worked as a project and systems engineer for Teledyne, Millipore, and Raytheon. She currently is past president of the Organization of Chinese Americans New England. Lisbeth received a B.S. degree in systems engineering in 1979 from the University of Rochester.

Jeffrey Tarter, Principal Consultant

Jeffrey Tarter is a well-known software industry analyst who oversees Asuret's survey methodology and implementation research. As the founding editor of Softletter, he has done extensive research in software business practices, metrics, and customer support issues.
